Crock Pot Creamy Chicken Italiano

I love this recipe. So easy & flavorful. Serve over cooked egg noodles or other pasta.


4 chicken breast halves,
1 envelope dry Italian salad dressing mix (we use Simply Organic)
1/4 cup water
8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
10 3/4 oz can cream of chicken soup
4 oz can mushroom stems & pieces, drained (I didn’t add this b/c I didn’t have any on hand)

Place chicken breasts in crock pot. Combine salad dressing mix with the water. Pour over the breasts, cover & cook on low 3 hours.

After it has cooked the 3 hours, combine the soup & softened cream cheese until blended well. Stir in the mushrooms if using. Spread soup mixture over chicken, cover & cook an additional hour on low. Serve over noodles.
