Butterscotch Apple Crisp


This is a fabulous twist on regular apple crisp. It’s one of my favorite new desserts! Delicious!!!

BUTTERSCOTCH APPLE CRISP

12 oz butterscotch chips
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 1/2 lbs tart apples like Granny Smith, peeled & sliced
Topping:
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick butter, softened
1 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup oats

Preheat oven to 375. In bowl combine first 4 ingredients. Place apples into buttered 9×13 baking dish & then sprinkle the combined 4 ingredient mixture over them. Bake for 20 mins. While baking, mix up the topping ingredients. After the 20 mins, add topping & bake an additional 30-40 mins. Serve with whipped cream and/or vanilla ice cream.
