Maple Walnut Pancakes

When we first made the Maple Walnuts recipe, my husband suggested that we try them on pancakes along with whipped cream. Our creation is reminiscent of the fancy pancakes from IHOP. These are perfect for special occasions…which is everyday!

Whole Wheat Pancakes (I got this recipe from my friend Sheelah)

1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 cup whole wheat flour (preferably freshly ground)
3/4 cup of milk (or more)
1 Tb succanat or sugar
2 Tb oil
3 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Whisk together all the dry ingredients & add beaten egg, milk & oil. Combine well & cook on griddle. Top with Maple Walnuts (link to recipe above), whipped cream & real maple syrup. Real Grade B maple syrup is our favorite. It’s so much better than the fake stuff!
