The Gentle Ways of The Beautiful Woman

I’d like to recommend a book to my readers that is hands down one of the most influential books I have read. For sure top 3! It’s called The Gentle Ways of The Beautiful Woman by Anne Ortlund. This book was written in the late 70’s – early 80’s & has stood the test of time as a true classic.

One of my favorite chapters is called “Your Notebook”. Anne suggests doing as she does & carrying a 7” x 9”, three-ringed notebook that holds paper 5 1/2 ” x 8 1/2 ”. The idea is to carry the notebook with you as faithful as your purse so that you’re never unprepared. The goal is organization. At the bottom of this product page is the notebook that Anne’s website Renewal Ministries sells. You can order theirs or search for one @ Wal-Mart & create your own.
Just in case you aren’t convinced…I’ll leave you will these reviews. : )

“This book is a wonderful manual on how to become organized in daily life and to have a deeper relationship with Christ. It has been an inspiration to me in every area of my life. Anne Ortlund has a delightful way of writing which makes the reader feel as though she is having a personal conversation with Anne and not just reading a book. Anne also offers wonderful advice on becoming the woman that God intends. It is encouraging, inspiring, absolutely practical and completely enjoyable.”

“This book is 3 books in one. The first part, Disciplines of the Beautiful Woman, gives you advice and tips about every day living: wardrobe, time management, etc. The second part, Disciplines of the Heart, helps you enhance your relationship with God and your faith and trust in Him. This part has helped me a lot to be more confident in God, to not worry so much but
trust Him. The third part, Disciplines of the Home, is addressed especially to women who are also mothers.”
