In case you have never heard of this little wonder, I’m going to introduce you to a butter crock. The purpose of the crock is to keep butter from spoiling or melting when un-refrigerated. That way you can enjoy soft real butter anytime!
Mine holds almost an entire stick of butter, minus about a tablespoon. You can get a variety of styles, colors & sizes of them to suit your needs. Simply scoop softened butter into the “lid” of the crock & place about 1/4 cup cold water in the base. When you place the lid on top of the base the cool water acts as a seal to protect & keep the butter cool. Change out the water every week with fresh cool water. Isn’t that neato???
You might be able to find one of these cuties on ebay for cheaper than the sticker price.
