Frosty Almond Dessert

My beautiful cousin Jalen enjoying the treat (yes that is Christmas stemware LOL!)

A great cooling treat for a hot summer evening after eating some spicy Mexican food.

This recipe clipped from my Taste Of Home magazine is like a Wendy’s Frosty meets chocolate malt meets almond flavor. Sooooo yummy! I made this treat last night for our out-of-town guests (my cousin Jalen & her husband Ed).

Frosty Almond Dessert
Yield: 4 servings

4 cups vanilla frozen yogurt (used vanille ice cream b/c that’s what I had on hand)
1 cup ice cubes
1/2 cup hot fudge ice cream topping (you can easily make your own like this or use store bought)
1/4 tsp almond extract
Whipped topping & baking cocoa for garnish, optional
In a blender place half of first 4 ingredents in blender & process for a minute or two. Pour into two chilled dessert glasses. Repeat with other half of ingredients & pour into remaining two chilled glasses. Garnish with whipped topping & a sprinkle of cocoa.
